Donnchada Kennels
Betty Brown started Donnchada Kennels in 1973 with the arrival of her first litter of seven puppies 5 cream and 2 black by Ch. Dassin Debauchery out of Buffie of the Rocking P (a daughter of Ch. Beltor Success Story). Five of the seven puppies completed their championship titles and Ch. Donnchada Burstin With Pride went on to become an All-Breed Best In Show winner, handled by Robert N. Peebles. Since that time, Donnchada has bred multiple champions, top producers, and Best In Show winners. Donnchada poodles have been recognized worldwide as winners and producers of beautiful and sound of mind and body standard poodles. Donnchada Breeding is the foundation of many successful kennels of today such as BarNone, Bunkers, Oso, Calaes, Tasuma, Makays, Myarka and many others. Donnchada produced Ch. King's Champagne Taste, call name "Andy". Andy is a multiple Best in Show winner and a Top 20 Non-Sporting dog during his show career. Andy was campaigned by the late Douglas H. Wilson and bredt handled by Betty Brown. Andy is currently the sire of 135 American champions with more pups waiting to be shown. At Donnchada, health and temperament is foremost. All Genetic tests are done prior to breeding (hips, eyes, SA, thyroid and VWD). Betty has bred over 100 conformation champions, many Best In Show and Specialty BIS winners and other dogs with Obedience, Agility, Therapy Dog, and CGC Certified.
